About LMAS
The Lon Mafon Allotment Society has 44 members; most have quarter plots (10yds x 7.5yds) but some have half and full plots. The site is at the bottom of a valley running down from Cefn Coed and is sheltered by surrounding trees. Records go back to Minutes from 1976. The land is owned by the City and County of Swansea but the Society is self-governing, with a committee of three. Changing over recently to quarter plots has proved popular with new plotholders, most of whom find a bigger plot too onerous to maintain as part of a busy lifestyle.

The track to the top of the site is accessible via Lon Mafon (between house numbers 12 and 14 and opposite Lon Iorwg), marked on the map above.
